The Parable

A shepherd took some animals to the foot of a mountain. He left them there and climbed to the top of the mountain. Then, he blew his whistle for them to come up the mountain. While he observed the animals, he noticed the following:

1.     Some animals were standing still at the foot of the mountain, without making any efforts to climb up. These animals represent the idle and lazy ministers in the vineyard of God, and there are so many of them.

2.     Some other animals were climbing and falling, repeatedly. These represent the ministers, who are not regular and consistent in doing what God said. They come to prayers and worship, pretending to be saints of God. But, immediately they leave the temple, they do all the forbidden things.

3.     One animal climbed the mountain fast, got to the top of the mountain and was waiting for other animals. This animal represents those ministers, who are regular in attendance and consistent in doing what God said. And they are very few indeed.

The animal was waiting at the mountain top for other animals, but in spirit, there is no waiting for others. Everybody keeps on progressing forward or backsliding backward, at his own speed, without waiting for others.

4.     Yet, some other animals were moving backwards, away from the mountain. They represent those ministers, who abandon their works in the house of God and follow the worldly ways, the broad ways, into the hell fire. For a while, they seem to be free and rejoicing. But, very soon, they find themselves in unbearable bondage, inside the hell fire.

Therefore,

Do not wait for your parents.

Do not wait for your brothers.

Do not wait for your sisters.

Do not wait for your others.

Do not wait for your wife.

Do not wait for your husband.

Do not wait for your children.

Do not wait for your relations.

Do not wait for the majority.

Do not even wait to first please yourself.

All times are not the same. Just like people going to the market. Some are going to the market, while others are returning from the market. Yet, many others are still in the market, sitting down or standing up, standing still or moving about, buying this or selling that.

Everybody works for his own benefits, success and prosperity. Those who are not regular and serious, shall become the last, at the back of the seats, or have others ministering to them when themselves supposed to be ministering to others.
